It was an excellent surprise to find how charming and comfortable this resort was. I appreciated the wide verandah on the bungalow and the cosy inner verandah before entering the bedroom; both excellent places to sit and relax and have an evening drink and snack. The bedroom and bathroom were very well kept and clean as were the bed linen and towels. The staff was super friendly and helpful; and if you like diving there are several great dive boats and a very helpful dive master at the resort. The waters around the area are excellent as well. Overall it was a very good stay and I hope to get back there soon.

The place has a gorgeous view, the people is most likely the nicest in Sumbawa Besar area with nice seaview and lovely garden. The pool is quite warm. The breakfast was quite modest, but ok for me While the hotel overall is appealing we had booked the cheapest rooms, which were more like hostel style and maybe a bit pricey for what we got. There were company events during the daytime when we were there, including l karaoke on the outdoor area. We ordered what must have been the worst cooked grilled fish. Kudos to the manager for taking one look at the fish when I mentioned it and not charging for it. We got a quotation for a cra transfer from the hotel and it was 60% more expensive than what the hotel in Saleh Bay charged for it I probably wouldn't come back

A couple of nights stay would have been better for us.The pool is great, all of the staff were very helpful, respectful and friendly. I am assuming the facilities took a hit over COVID and it's taking time to get it all back to the way it was. I feel for the 2.5 millionRP our boat trip to Moyo cost should have included the cost of the motor bike ride to the absolutely beautiful waterfall and lunch.We had to pay for that seperately and only got a brief snorkle in.The staff and people on the Island were friendly and the lunch we had was the best food we had during our 4 day stay in Sumbawa. Our budget room was OK, the beds comfortable tho the crickets and mozzies were an issue but we had spray on us so came prepared. Terima kasih to the fabulous hospitality staff.

The Bungalows needs definitely more maintenance.. breakfast was cold! The view is beautiful, has beach access but not to swimm. Mojo Island is just opposite.. Mosquitos are the most annoying part of our stay so bring along Autan or Sofell. The location of Samawa is far away from town, very relaxing. The staffs are very friendly!

Samawa offers very good value for money and a beautiful secluded location. The bathrooms could do with a refresh (mentioned in a previous review), otherwise rooms are very comfortable. Staff are very friendly and forcible. We were unlucky with the weather, but had a relaxing weekend anyway!
