It’s best to plan your visit outside of peak summer to fully enjoy the experience. This place is ideal for couples and adult families seeking a शांत and relaxing getaway. However, it may not be suitable for young kids, as there aren’t many activities available for them. Reaching the location requires some effort. Once you get close to the property, you’ll need to drive uphill on a steep, hilly path that is not a regular tar road. This can be challenging, especially for beginners or those not comfortable with hill driving. The food quality is good, although it felt slightly expensive for the offerings. It’s advisable to carry your own snacks, alcohol, or cigarettes if needed, as availability at the resort is limited and accessing town requires driving down. Overall, it’s a great place to unwind and enjoy peaceful surroundings. The hospitality stands out—the owner and staff are kind, supportive, and helpful, making the stay pleasant.

I recently stayed at Ekayana Resort in the Red Rose Cottage. The resort is a great destination for a short one- or two-day getaway, offering a solid variety of activities including a swimming pool, karaoke, carrom, foosball, and trekking. While the amenities are enjoyable, the resort operates on a first-come, first-served basis. If the property is crowded, it can be difficult to access the games as they remain occupied. As for the dining, the food was mediocre; I personally found it needed more salt and spice to truly hit the mark. It is also worth noting that while you can order starters, they come at an additional cost. The primary drawback of my stay was the bed quality in the Red Rose Cottage. The mattress had a noticeable partition in the middle, which made for an uncomfortable night's sleep. On a positive note, the caretakers were friendly and welcoming, which enhanced the overall experience. Despite a few minor issues, it is a lovely place and definitely worth a visit.

Ekayana, the name truly says it all. This place is exactly what it promises, peaceful and serene, nestled in the middle of a hilly forest. The surroundings are incredibly quiet, and you can literally feel the fresh natural breeze all around you. The rooms and cottages have a charming vintage style, and they are very cozy and clean. The service is excellent; both the caretaker and the owner are extremely warm and ensure that you are well taken care of throughout your stay. It was my mistake to visit during the summer, as I believe this place would be even more beautiful during the rainy and winter seasons. However, there are a few drawbacks. The final uphill stretch to reach the property is in poor condition and can be quite difficult and risky to drive on, especially with loose, rolling stones causing tyres to slip. New drivers might find it challenging and even panic. Another major disappointment was the food pricing. The hotel charged ₹1050 for just three plates of bhurji, which feels excessively high. Given that there are no other food options available nearby, this comes across as taking undue advantage of guests, leaving them with little choice but to pay such inflated prices. I’m hopeful the owners will work on improving both the road conditions and bring more fairness to the pricing. Overall, it’s a beautiful location and a great getaway spot, but these issues do affect the overall experience
