Bentley's Hotel

The place was good overall — clean, with a comfortable room size that worked well for a couple. I'd suggest the hotel consider adding a microwave.

Great location, everything was as it was in the pictures. Massive TV and you can head over to the pub for a great meal

Planned a two night getaway weekend to Clare with my wife to celebrate a wedding anniversary. Booking and checking in using Agoda was easy and straightforward. The reason we chose Clare was easy access to the start of the Riesling Trail cycle path that winds past numerous boutique wineries along a decommissioned railway track. With that in mind we had our two bicycles on a rack attached to the rear of our vehicle. With that in mind we faced our first challenge, parking. The gravel topped carpark was too small to service the seven rooms adjacent. As there were no lines marked orderly parking was a matter of luck and the area was cramped with five cars which required a lot of manoeuvring to get in and out. The carpark layout was basically an open quadrangle with rooms at one end and the road opposite with two hard faced buildings on each side which formed a very effective echo chamber. This amplified and prolonged the road noise by passing traffic that was easily heard all through the day and night and affect the comfort level. Even small car's noise was very noticeable and annoying when attempting to get a good night's sleep. That was our reason for departing after the first night and not bothering with our second night's booking.

Broken toilet that constantly refills with water Broken air conditioner Shower was dirty the mouldy shower curtain Yes I know it’s a pub, unfortunately the rooms are situated next to the smoking or outdoor area that us not well managed. Patrons conduct is very amiss, intoxicated, drunken antics, shouting, swearing and on a few occasions sat right outside our doorstep of guest accommodation on their phone. Close to the wineries, restaurants and sights around town is a pro for this property. Otherwise I would not advise staying here unless you want to party with the regulars!

Good clean room with brilliant bed. Bathroom, toilet a little older but clean. Enjoyed our food in the hotel. Staff were excellent. Good value in this region.
