really unexpected, a bit run down but view and set up is totally unexpected. The sounds of the waves all day and night was very relaxing. Food was good and enjoyable. Chocolate factory is to be seen. Old wood house a bit run down and not too clean but charming. i will come back.

First of all, I had a good stay, but the descriptions are misleading. The room I stayed in was better described as glamping than a villa. There were plenty of holes and cracks in the wood cabin so bugs and lizards can come in the room, even if you keep the doors closed. I went through spider webs to get to the shower, one night the power went out in typical weather and was off until the morning, the next night an animal (probably a lizard) vomited on the nightstand, on my USB keyboard. To me, these are okay because I enjoy camping/glamping, so I'm used to it. If you don't like glamping, I can't recommend this place. Another bit that's misleading, it says there’s a beach, but the waves come up right to a seawall directly behind the property. At high tide, they can crest over the wall. At low tide, there are large rocks. There is a beach area adjacent to the property, which may also be owned by the property, but it's not walk out of your cabin and you're right on the beach. The good: service was great, like everywhere in Bali, and the food was good with reasonable hotel prices. There was no restaurant, but everything was room service and they set it out on your porch so you could watch the ocean while you eat. My only real complaint (if you accept it's glamping) was the cost of the services. The transfers were 100k more for identical transfers booked through my hotel before Jasai Bay and my hotel after. The laundry had big resort prices, like 14k for one pair of pants. At other actual villas in Bali it was 25k per kg for overnight service, and everything came out clean and nicely pressed.

With only a handful of units, you have a quiet and private retreat. Situated right by the ocean, the sound of the surf helps you drift off to sleep. The pool is relaxing. The staff is super friendly and gracious. The food is good and fairly priced. This is a special place and experience unlike the big, luxury hotels. My wife and I give an enthusiastic two thumbs up.

Must try virgin beach for a day, possibly your best beach experience of your life, must try warung chic in the opposite direction. Take your swimming clothes to both. A great getaway from it all
