I booked knowing it was a budget hotel but I expected a bedside table, a bathroom door that closed, a spoon for stirring, more than one working plug socket, and certainly sockets near the bed. A hair drier and daily clean was available if I had asked, but I thought this would be standard, for any hotel. The chair looked as if it had been used for decorating and I used it as my bedside table. The staff were very helpful and charming, and allowed me to borrow their bicycle. The bed was comfortable and the shower hot when needed. I don't understand my room classification as "Deluxe" as to be honest, it was extremely basic, and I have stayed in better equipped and tidied hostels. This may sound hyper critical, but if you accept this is a tired older building, with all rooms having the same fit out, which have seen better days, then your stay, like mine will be pleasant. If you expect USB sockets, better decorations and more essential furniture, then you will be disappointed.

Got a twin room for a ridiculously low price. Super clean, comfy beds, functioning AC and hot showers.

The location is very suitable because we wanted to go to Batu Ferringhi and Escape Penang but there were just not enough restaurants nearby the hotel. It's difficult to order food online also because most restaurants are far away. But overall, the Sea Princess Hotel is still very good to stay.
