The day of checking in the room hadn't been cleaned .unmade bed ,uneaten pizza and bottle of wine on the side .staff cleaner terrible attitude .no apology .my final night I was locked out for over an hour as keycode wouldn't work .stood outside freezing and now got the flu .the room was nice ,no tea and coffee left ,no bath mat I required and just really poor service. With the correct management it would be great

The room itself has potential and is spacious. It’s in a wedge-shaped building with great sea views, However, it is located directly on a very busy main strip with a busy road behind it, so it’s not particularly peaceful. The biggest issue by far was the mattress and bed base in Room ***. It is honestly the worst mattress I’ve encountered in my life!...it's the worst mattress is completely collapsed and feels like a bag of broken springs. Easy 15-20 + yrs old. Every time you roll over or get out of bed the springs loudly creak and crunch, making proper sleep almost impossible. I found a 2024 review from another guest specifically complaining about the same mattress in Room ***, so this appears to have been an ongoing issue that has not been addressed. God knows what is inside it, I dread to think. Despite completing all online check-in information the day before arrival, we were left sitting outside in the sun until after 3pm waiting for access details. We were repeatedly told via WhatsApp to call a number, despite explaining we only had internet/WiFi access while travelling. Eventually the codes were simply sent anyway. For international travellers, having proper communication available through WhatsApp alone would make a huge difference. The bathroom layout is awkward, with a poorly positioned handheld shower over the bath. One of the two air conditioners also appeared centrally controlled and locked to heating mode. There is also only one towel rack and one tiny hook in a large beachside room, which is impractical when guests need to dry towels, swimmers and clothing. After travelling extensively, the main thing I value is a decent mattress and quality pillows. Multiple pillows are appreciated, but they also need to be refreshed regularly. Front door is slammed by guests coming and going, you can hear everything! Who is responsible for doing quality assurance checks for Agoda and booking.com ? You list these places and put your name to them. I want a refund. I have pics of the dilapidated mattress but the site won't let me upload.
