If you want to enjoy the quietness of the Maldives, this is the place. We came here for whale shark diving, and Dhigurah Inn gave us more than we expected. The owner, Fairooz, was incredibly kind and helped us with the excursion. A private breakfast and the natural sandbank made this island far better than Maafushi. But bear in mind, it’s a 2-hour speedboat ride from Malé Airport. We will definitely come back!

What a great location, meters away from the beach and minutes away from the tourist beach. A lovely breakfast is served every day on the beach as pictures show. Everyone was very helpful, communication seamless from very beginning, transfers arranged over WhatsApp. Property provides shuttle for guests to sand bank, which was very much appreciated. We had a lovely stay and would stay here again without second thought.

This inn is truly a slice of heaven on earth. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty. The warm welcome, the refreshing coconut drinks, and the stunning room with beach view and access set the tone for an unforgettable vacation. The room was impeccably designed, with every amenity imaginable, including a plush king-size bed, a rain shower, complimentary snack bar. But what truly made our stay exceptional was the outstanding service. The staff were friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure our every need was met. Special shoutouts to our host, Feyroz , Haroon and Husain and the entire team at the Snorkelling trips for their exceptional hospitality! They arrange in house an impressive array of water sports and activities. We snorkelled with manta rays, Whale sharks, swam with dolphins and turtles and unforgettable experiences that we'll cherish forever! In short,Dhigurah Beach inn exceeded our expectations in every way. If you're looking for a budget friendly , relaxing, and unforgettable getaway in the Maldives, look no further. A fantastic place to stay in the island, located in a perfect spot, very near the beach. Staff welcomed us so warmly and made us feel special for all the time we stayed, always available for anything we needed. The manager of the accommodation is such a gentleman and looked after us for any request. All the staff were so nice and professional. The place itself was spotlessly clean and modern. Highly recommended

This accommodation was very small. You had to put your luggage on the bed to open it. We found that it was not as portrayed in the reviews. It was adequate. It is not beachfront. Although described as a beachfront room. It was on a very busy sand road. You could not see the beach from inside or outside the room. Opposite and across the road were some tables and chairs and some vegetation. The beach was accessible through a short track. The accommodation consisted of a room big enough to fit a double bed, small shelves on the side wall with a safe that didn’t work. There were small bedside tables. We found the room very cramped. The bathroom had a large shower, toilet and basin and was a good size. There was a small outside balcony with a table and two chairs not at all private and with a constant stream of people and vehicles passing. An outside tap was useful to wash beach gear. We didn’t find it a pleasant space. To us it was claustrophobic. It did not appear to be run by a family as other reviews stated. It had no restaurant. We saw an area above some of the rooms that looked like it may have previously been used as a restaurant. The staff set breakfast out on the beach on tables and chairs. The main issue we had with this accommodation was the way the manager interacted with us. The communication was poor and on his timetable. We came close to missing the ferry to the island because we were not informed properly about its location or provided with the name of the boat so we could identify it. Upon arrival at the island we were picked up by staff and told the Manager would be around at 7.30 pm. He arrived late and this was a pattern throughout our stay. Everything was late and last minute. After arriving at Dhigurah we discovered that the companies operating the snorkeling, diving, boat tours had a deal with the accommodation operators that booking went through the specific accommodation people were staying at. In addition you could not book trips through other accommodations. If you tried, they said they booked exclusively for their guests. This meant we could only book tours to see mantas, whale sharks etc through our hotel manager. When we spoke to him after our arrival, we asked him to book us into a number of tours during our stay. Getting a confirmation from him for each tour was like drawing teeth. He wasn’t responsive until after 8.00 pm the night before each tour, a couple of which went very early the next morning, and we had to contact him multiple times to get a response. It was very frustrating and unnecessary. We were also not always informed of the cost of the tour. People staying in other accommodations were given a list of tours with prices and descriptions upon arrival and thereby able to organise their time effectively and have peace of mind. We thought the prices of the tours were too high and not accurately described. For example the nurse shark tour was around 3 hours. and cost *** pp. The nurse sharks were fed to attract them to an area in the water and this was surrounded by large numbers of people in the water all pushing and vying for a position to see the sharks. There was no proper organisation. It was chaotic and some people were on top of the sharks., fish and rays. It was impossible to observe the marine life in the circumstances in a way that was safe and appropriate for people and the sharks and rays. We ended up just moving away and snorkeling in a different area. When we conveyed some of our concerns to the manager, he distanced himself from the tour by saying he didn’t set the price., but he also said he knew it had been chaotic. While we realise this is not directly about the accommodation it did impact our stay because the guests at each hotel are locked in to dealing with the manager to access tours. Frankly we were surprised at the difference in the description of the property and service provided from the reality and some of the practices that occur in relation to the tours.
