Chalet Hotel Adler

Do not stay here. The staff is rude, rooms are dilapidated, and I was overcharged not once, but twice. The man at the front desk was extremely rude when I checked in. I was also told the room I booked was not available so they had to give me a smaller, lower quality room. He then charged me for the small room even though I had already paid double the price for the original room. I noticed that an hour later so I was able to get a refund. However, they would not give me my money back for me having prepaid for the nicer room, saying “they don’t know what Agoda is, we don’t work with them”. I submitted a complaint and dispute with Agoda and the hotel still refuses the refund the difference. Kandersteg in general I don’t recommend visiting.

Bathtub in the room is superb, but the hotel is really old and vintage.

It's a really nice hotel and the hot tub is a lot of fun. But for the price we paid, I would have expected more. Breakfast wasn't included, there wasn't really any nice products in bathroom and no tea and coffee facilities. Other than that, it was okay - at least if the price had been cheaper.

booked on agoda and had some issue with payment. unable to rectify with the property owner and had to take extra steps to rectify on my own. did not have this issue with any other hotel in switzerland. service was ok but not great.
