# Homestay Review: NAR Homestay ## Overall Experience I had a wonderful two-night stay at NAR Homestay. The experience was pleasant and cozy, and I'm glad I chose this place for my family visit. ## Location The homestay is situated in Taman Merlimau Permai, and is a short 10-minute drive to the nearest amenities such as convenience stores (FamilyMart, 7Eleven), restaurants and cafes (McDonald's, Pizza Hut, Secret Recipe, ZUS Coffee), and other shops (Watson's). The drive can be a little congested since it's nearby Politeknik Merlimau, but honestly, the traffic wasn't too bad. ## Accommodation The space was exceptionally clean with good decor and a cozy atmosphere. Each bedroom has its own air conditioner, which was very nice, especially in the hot weather. The bathrooms featured excellent water pressure - a detail I really appreciated. The kitchen was well-equipped with a gas stove and a microwave, making it convenient for preparing meals. They also provided clothes iron, ironing boards, and hangers, which was a definite plus. I was pleasantly surprised that they had Netflix available, which provided great entertainment for my family during our downtime. ## Host The homestay owner was very professional and particularly strict with their no-smoking rule, which I greatly appreciated. They clearly state that those who don't abide by this rule must pay a fine, ensuring a clean and fresh environment for all guests. ## Highlights The best parts of my stay were: - The immaculate cleanliness and tasteful decor throughout the property - Each bedroom having its own air conditioner - The availability of Netflix for entertainment - Strong water pressure in the bathrooms - Well-equipped kitchen with gas stove and microwave ## Suggestions for Improvement There were a few areas that could use some improvement: - The living room doesn't have an air conditioner, which made it quite hot, especially during the day - They don't have a filtered water dispenser (like Coway or Cuckoo), so you either have to use tap water or purchase bottled water, though they do provide a water heater in the kitchen - The bathrooms don't have sprayer handles for the toilets, only water bucket ladles - No tissue paper in the toilets or anywhere in the house - The TV's image quality could be better - The bed and pillows in the master bedroom were quite stiff and uncomfortable ## Conclusion Despite the few shortcomings, I would recommend NAR Homestay to travelers looking for a clean, cozy accommodation in the Merlimau area. The homestay offers good value with its convenient location, well-maintained spaces, and thoughtful amenities like Netflix and kitchen facilities. Rating: 4/5 stars

Very nice house with all the facilities advertised given. Very clean and neat. Complete with snacks, maggi cup, packet drinks and mineral waters provided(chargeable). Recommended.
