Riung Guesthouse

As always - staff were excellent always trying to help and please. Large clean room with good size washroom. No hot water but wasn’t needed. Owner has done great job up keeping the rooms and making the most of the limited space including a nice courtyard garden. No complaints and would stay again if going back.

Nothing special but a good value for the price - clean, quiet with a well maintained small garden.

Clean large room. The owner was very helpful with boat booking without having to haggle and organising the onward transport which is very limited. He even gave me breakfast very early before leaving. Nearby is a family restaurant wih good food at reasonable prices. Highly recommended.

As a caveat Riung is a small fishing village so things are pretty basic here. According to Paul (the owner) there is no hot water and in Riung. The bathroom was very dirty. I told Paul (the owner) and he did have someone clean it immediately but on top of that there is a smell of cooked fish from their dinner that lasts all night that emanates into the bathroom which makes the bathroom seem more dirty. They cleaned it once I asked it to be cleaned. There was also barely no water coming out of the faucet in the sink. The breakfast pancake is really greasy and sorry, it’s just gross. I could not eat it the second morning. The bedroom is fine, better lighting would be better. Sitting outside the room is optimal.
