I would say that this is a waterfront retreat on a budget - which suited us just fine. The property was nicely located in front of the lake, it's definitely DATED so don't expect luxury. Cleaniness wise, I give it a just pass, nothing to complain about, but wouldn't call it sparkling. Take note you don't have a lake view if you're renting the suite. You have to walk past the villas in the property to get to the lake - which is near enough for us, we loved the access. The lake was stunning, highlight of our trip. The staff on the property were clearly not interested in being there. If you go to the front desk during normal office hours and KNOCK really loudly multiple times, even shout HELLO, no one comes out to assist you - EVEN THOUGH you can hear them chattering with each other at the staff area just behind the door. They are clearly ignoring you on purpose not interested to serve. You also need to TEXT the staff to access the paddle boats to the lake - obviously being from another country I don't have access to texting in Canada, only whatsapp or telegram - but that's not available. They also absolutely do not respond to emails, even if you send multiple to ask for help. So basically expect to book this property and pray you don't need help because you're on your own. Otherwise, we got through the stay just fine and enjoyed ourselves.

This is a nice place. The only strange thing was there is essentially no staff on site, and it wasn't marked clearly at all. We had to track down the cleaners in order to find our unit. Other than that it was a perfectly pleasant stay. It is a nice quiet property right on the Lake of Bays and pretty close to the town of Dwight where you can get anything you might need. (Henrietta's bakery and the Dwight Market - great meat for barbecuing - are both mainstay's for vacationers around here.)

Nice clean room (or as bug free as can be in the area). Great value for money. Do remember to bring your own water as there is no drinkable water on site.

The retreat was peaceful and so cute! It was super cozy and the customer service was impeccable. Highly recommend!
