Blu oceano B&B, Italian restaurant

It’s an oasis and 3 minutes walking to see the most beautiful sunsets on the beach. The pizza is excellent!

The Wi-Fi is excellent and can walk 3 minutes from your oasis to see the most spectacular sunset.

We chose to stay here after we had to leave other accomodation as they couldn't extend our stay due to being fully booked. Our flight had been cancelled which meant we got to stay longer in Rote which was a bonus. We chose blue ocean as they had excellent scores. I can only think that this is related to the food as unfortunately we found everything very underwhelming for the price. Run by an Italian guy we expected at least a decent breakfast with the offer of a nice coffee at least. The breakfast was not good. Had to pay extra for fresh coffee. We had to ask for hot water as there is nowhere else to get this which would be nice to be able to have a hot drink when you want one. The noise in this place for such a beautiful quiet island made our stay just not nice. 4 am start in the kitchen chopping up food behind our room. Lots of cockerels and dogs barking so need ear plugs. The live music we knew about on Sunday night which we would have loved to have sat and enjoyed but we were just too tired, it stopped at a reasonable hour and wasn't too loud to disturb relaxing that night. The following morning and nights though we barely got any sleep. Our last night was the icing on the cake when the speaker was reverberating music backing into our room till 11pm. We hate to complain and to be oldies but for the same price at *** we had an amazing new built place, very peaceful and an amazing breakfast. There is no comparison to be fair. We found the owner also to be very miserable despite being told by our local ex pat friend that he was a really good guy ? Maybe he just didn't like us !! Heard the food in the restaurant is very good but we found it to be highly priced and could eat at a Michelin chef restaurant at *** for pretty much the same price. So sorry for this review but done changes need to be made and to think about your paying guests. We have been travelling for 6 months and only had to do two negative reviews.
