This is by no means a fancy spa hotel. It is a old property with some renovations here and there. It does feel outdated, the indoor pool is smaller than it seems. The outdoor whirlpool is quite nice in the winter but is always busy the out door sauna is also very nice and can fit about 6 people. The indoor pool area is very hot and the lounge chairs are not on the best of conditions. The rooms feels old if you are use to hotel chains like ***. It does have a fire place in the room but you are not allowed to bring your own, they will come and bring you one and light it for you and you must stay in your room, the Eco log last about 3 hours, 1 free per day extra sold at 8$ each, but did not need it. TV is small and old, beds is hard, pillow warn sofa bed is also quite thin and and hard. Honestly, not the best place for a romantic getaway, but if you are a family, going out all day and come back after dinner for the kids to spend the rest of their energy at the pool and just a place to sleep, it's an ok hotel. The restaurant is not bad, they have good prices for their Table d'hôte which are quite large portions. The alcohol however seem expensive for the hotel and menu. All and all, I do not believe I will be coming here again since I am use to new hotel in the city, if you have the budget I would probably try the *** even though it is almost double the price. Unfortunately there is not much choice in the area. This is my opinion, from someone who live in the a big city like Montreal where we are spoiled with nice mid range hôtels. Do your own recherche, pictures on their website does not reflect the actual conditions anymore.
