Scarborough Beach Motel

This is a cozy little space right by the ocean. The room was clean and basic. Only downside during my stay was alot of noise upstairs in the evening and early in the morning.

This place is great. A new family just bought the property and it’s simple, clean, across from the beach, with good rates. We have a two year old and the most convenient rooms for us are ones that have a bath tub and a separate or even semi-separate room for him to sleep in - this hotel didn’t have either of those. But it was still solid for a long weekend beach getaway.

I'm a light sleeper, and was happy here. The room has a light blocking shade behind the curtain. The exterior wall muffled the sounds of a leaf blower next door so well that I didn't notice it until I stepped outside. The location is perfect, of course: I didn't have to get in line and pay to park at Scarborough Beach across the street.

The facility is well kept, clean and looked newly renovated. The problems were: #1) There was nowhere to put things! No luggage rack, no table, (not fun using luggage on floor with bad back), no hooks on doors. #2) the bathroom was VERY small. I felt like I was showering in an RV. And again, very small vanity, nowhere to put toiletry articles. Other than that, nice place.
