Camboa Hotel Paranagua

Camboa Hotel is a huge hotel for a small city like Paranagua. Foyer/lobby is very spacious, breakfast and dining/bar area are large, but the highlight is the enormous swimming pool area. It is as large as any 5 Star resort/casino in Las Vegas. My room was spacious and clean and recently painted. Breakfast was huge with lots of choices of hot and cold and sweet and savoury and staff were very attentive. It was the best breakfast I had in all of Brazil. But for me the highlight was the staff - from the friendly doorman, to the efficient cleaning and catering staff and especially the reception staff who were all super friendly, helpful and efficient. It was my first time in Brazil and I speak very little Portuguese, but they all went above and beyond their duty to make my stay relaxed, stress free and enjoyable. A big thankyou and obrigado to all the staff from me. If you are in Paranagua I would definitely recommend you stay at the Camboa. Based there you can explore the Old Town or catch a boat to Ilha do Mel or other islands or just spend a lazy afternoon in the huge swimming pool area sunbathing, cooling off in the pool and enjoying a few beers, snacks and caparinhas available from the poolside bar.
