Blue House Town

We stayed in the Blue House Town guest house for 3 nights and had a truly wonderful experience. We were greeted on arrival with huge smiles by Mohammed, the owner, who attended to our every need during our stay. Our apartment was absolutely gorgeous, comfortable and clean, with an equipped kitchen unit, a traditional Moroccan seating/dining area, and lovely views out of the windows. The location of this guest house is unrivalled. It is perched on a mountain above the town, and from the roof terrace where Mohammed served us delicious breakfasts (with every ingredient 'home grown' - olives, eggs, bread etc) we were able to rest and enjoy spectacular views of the blue town below us and the Rif mountains around us. The guest house is only a ten-minute stroll down to the town itself, past the Spanish Mosque, and we really appreciated having the best of both worlds - from the peace and fresh air of the mountain to the hustle and bustle of the medina. I will always remember our time in Chefchaouen and the generosity of Mohammed, who even shared the family's evening meals with us because it was Ramadan. I am so glad I chose to book this guest house and would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone!
