My husband and I booked the Presidential Room 1, hoping it would offer better amenities than the regular Garden Villa our friends were staying in. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. The room itself was very nice, with two beds, a spacious bathroom featuring a large shower, and two sitting areas with plenty of windows. However, the two biggest issues were the unreliable internet—which was intermittent and mostly unusable—and the lights that repeatedly turned on automatically during the night, waking us up several times. Because of the poor internet connection, the TV was also unusable. I spoke with the manager, who was very accommodating and genuinely tried to resolve these issues while we were there, but unfortunately, they could not be fixed during our stay. Meanwhile, our friends experienced none of these problems in their Garden Villa near reception. While the room was attractive, it’s unacceptable to charge a higher price for a room that offers fewer working amenities than a standard Garden Villa. One morning at breakfast, the buffet ran out of food, and I waited over an hour for items to be replenished. The grounds also need better upkeep. There are weeds throughout the property, and the outdoor dining area could use more soil and grass. Overall, the landscaping across the resort could benefit from a major refresh. On a positive note, we went diving a couple of times and had a wonderful experience. While the PADI dive shop and boats were not as nice as those at places like Atlantis Resort, our dive guide, KF, was fantastic. He took us to see exactly what we asked for—a blue ribbon eel and a blue-ringed octopus. We even had the entire boat and dive guide to ourselves, which made the experience truly special. A big thank you to Hazel and the Coral Sea Dive Center for making our dives so memorable. The owner of this property should take note of these concerns, as with proper upkeep this hotel could be much, much nicer. The regular food was okay but could certainly be improved, although the Christmas buffet and happy hour were very good. Overall, the stay was pleasant enough, and the staff was exceptional. Would I go back? Mmm, not sure.

The location itself is not bad, the sea has a sandy bottom and many turtles foraging around, almost a private beach in a quiet part of the shore. But we needed scooters (which were all booked nearby, and we got them only in the city). Several dogs live in the resort's territory and share common space and facilities with tourists, which sometimes leads to stepping into dog's poo. Restaurant is better than in many other small resorts and without easy transport to Dauin will do it's job, but anyway it is hard to keep it stable for such small number of guests especially on breakfasts, we expected good buffet but it turned to short a-la-carte menu. Omelette differs every day from previous day (different toasts, different content, Schrödinger's butter and other small things that make mood). There are also two kayaks, but they are not for free guest usage as usual in this kind of resorts but for rental for 600 per hour (compare to El Nido 500 per day), no one used them while we stayed. Dive shop has about 30% higher prices than expected in The Philippines, but service is outstanding, they even have plenty of fresh water to wash face after every dive and good lunch in personal packing.

Asked to check-in early because we arrived earlier than expected but the room wasn’t prepared yet since the previous guest just checked out. They asked us to come back during the check in time though we are exhausted from our travel we waited and understood. By the time we are about to check-in we had to wait for an hour before we could get into our room because it still wasn’t ready. We were tired and exhausted so we were a bit irritated by the situation. Wifi was slow. Working online is unreliable. Other amenities were good. The place is perfect for R&R.

Surprisingly nice (didn't really know much about it previously) choice for the in-laws to visit for a short break. Not too far from Dumaguete, so not a very long drive for a short weekend stay. The rooms were very nice and comfortable, the grounds were pleasant, and the restaurant had a variety of foods. It had a nice view on the oceanfront, and nice pools. It has good parking in a dirt lot out by the road. Just surprised I hadn't heard much about this place before I reserved...oh, and the hill down from the highway was a little surprisingly steep going down...the first time, but I got used to it.
