Morelo Water Villa

Morelo is a great resort near Batam. Will come back again. Just need to be have better AC. While food is limited, Kitchen is always willing to help. Fresh catch from fisherman nearby are superb.

Overall, this hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, enjoyable, and value-for-money stay. I would definitely stay here again

Place is at great location and has a very nice surrounding. view is the best. we had only one night there but we wish we stayed longer. will come again.

No way is this a 4 star property. At best, we would give it 2 stars. It looks absolutely fantastic in the online brochures and these looks are accurate when the location is visited in person. However, the property itself is relatively unsophisticated and somewhat rustic. Everything in the room was clean and tidy, the king bed was very comfortable and the linen, towels, toiletries and dressing gowns were good quality. The AC struggled to keep up with the temperature, but we were comfortable. The room was a good size, with appropriate furniture such as a small sofa, coffee table and side table. There was a kettle and good quality tea/coffee sachets provided. There was a very small fridge, which again struggled to cope with the temperature, and was somewhat difficult to access due to the furniture arrangement. Overall, the room and facilities were acceptable and comfortable. The exterior areas were great, with an expansive wooden decked veranda with some sun loungers and personal hammocks available. The views and surroundings were outstanding. A beautiful place to be if you want a peaceful location to relax and watch one of the most spectacular sunsets you will ever find. Now to the reasons why this establishment needs to be rated 2 stars, not 4 as claimed. It is remote. This has a major impact on the provision of catering. During our stay all food and drinks had to be couriered by the staff from another sister establishment around 800 meters away. This was then processed by the on-site staff via a kitchen area attached to the accommodation block, and then delivered to the small dining area on the deck. Sadly, this resulted in all originally hot food being received either luke warm or cold. Such a shame, because the food itself was actually very good and excellent value for money. Overall, we really enjoyed staying at this property, despite the food issues and the inconvenience of the fridge/AC/electrics. We were not convinced that our stay was good value for money as a 4 star residence, but we believe you won’t find a better 2 star place anywhere in the Riau Islands.

Overall the beach is clean and have activities like kayaking, jet ski & banana boat etc. The price for the jet ski is reasonable. Staffs are helpful and friendly.
