Nice hotel up the hill from the town but unfortunately a mountain view room doesn't mean you can see the mountain we had a building blocking any view. Staff are lovely and the room is a good size. Lacking a fridge which would have been really handy.

Here’s the corrected version: We booked three single beds, and while they were shown correctly at the time of booking, upon arrival we found that two were standard single beds and one was simply a folding bed. The curtain arrangement was particularly odd — the curtain rail had been installed in front of the desk, meaning the desk sat between the curtain and the window, making it awkward to use either. The bathroom was also very cramped, with barely enough space to move around, and the shower was even smaller than what you’d typically find on a cruise ship. Noise was another issue, as traffic outside made for a disrupted night’s sleep. On a brighter note, the staff were absolutely wonderful. They greeted us with a welcome drink, and breakfast was enjoyable and well done..

Stayed at Tralala for one day. Pleased! Good location 900m from train station (tip - take taxi TO hotel (uphill) but a fun walk back (downhill) along cobblestone path). Room clean and well designed, bed comfortable. Recommended!

Good value for money. It's not a 5 stars hotel but considering the price I think that there's nothing to complain about the rooms. They even offer you a complementary drink with your booking. The staff is very friendly, in particular the lady and the reception and the guy in the restaurant. The prices in the restaurant are very honest and the food is good even if it's probably cooked elsewhere and reheated here - the only downside is that the choices are very limited. The breakfast was a bit disappointing though, not many choices and the quality was a bit meh - particularly the coffee was awful. I saw some people complaining about the steep to get to the hotel, which is true, but there is a bus stopping literally in front of the hotel and a train station 3 mins away.

Plus things first: Great staff, great breakfast spread, clean bathrooms Minus things now: small rooms, we stayed in rooms without balcony so it only had one large window overlooking street. The location is very uphill and walking with luggage is terrible experience, even plain walking to the hotel will tire less fit persons. But the bus from Montreux station( i trust bus no 206) stops bang in front of hotel gate. Sync your trips with bus timings to make sure that you are spared the huff and puff of climbing uphill. Overall if you can figure this business schedule out, it's decent value for money.
