Common kitchen, big quad room, comfortable, clean and helpful staff. Approx 4 km from the Sodra Svarkso ferry stop or right near Norra Svarkso ferry stop. Sodra stop has a grocery store & cafe . Two things to note there is a breakfast basket to order and you will n ed to request & pay for linens.

Arrived on a Sunday and the reception staff was really helpful. She also told me that the restaurant and the shop on the island were both shut (which Google hadn't told me), and said they had some pre-made dinners for sale, so I bought one. Tasted great. Amazing view from the cabins. Very well equipped kitchen for self-catering, and a nice lounge with plenty of comfortable seating. There is a sauna near the ferry jetty, but you have to pay for that per hour. The heater in my cabin didn't work, which I discovered quite late, but the reception staff come back at 8:30pm to give me the key to another cabin.

This is one of the STF hostel properties all around Sweden, but it also serves as a modest motel for anyone who's just not prepared for a full-on camping experience. It's island setting is enchanting, the accommodations on the Spartan side (but clean and well maintained), and the communal kitchen facilities are free to use for all. Book in advance, particularly on Sommar weekends.
