We decided to take a trip to Damascus to bike the Virginia Creeper Trail and decided to stay at the Milsap Baker House. The outside of the home was in a little disrepair and there is currently construction in progress. The inside of the house was lovely with many antiques. Snacks and drinks are provided as well. The bedrooms were well appointed and the bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast is included and gave us the opportunity to speak to the owners who were super. We enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to stay again.

This B&B was wonderful, from the room to the amenities to the couple that runs it. The house is rife with wonderful history and breakfast was delightful as well. Definitely worth the stay.

I was introduced to this Bed and Breakfast through Agoda. I was looking for a place to spend the night in Damascus before I started the Mid Atlantic BDR. The accommodations were very clean, and I was upgraded to the Suite which offered a spacious bedroom with bathroom. After a six hour motorcycle ride, sitting in a hot tub was heavenly. My morning was greeted by the owners in the dining area, who were dutifully preparing breakfast for their guests. They take great pride in their property which has been in the family since the Revolutionary War. It was a treat to experience a part of history as we celebrate our country’s 250th Birthday. The breakfast was spectacular with homemade biscuits that reminded me of my Mom’s cooking. The meal was supplemented with family stories shared by our hosts and they seemed to find a way to weave me and the other guests into it to make us feel like we were family too. It was a great stay and one that I will long remember, fondly. Thank you for opening your home to weary travelers.

We arrived to no one on premises but a personal note on the front door and info regarding our room and the facilities. The kitchen was stocked with wines, juices, snacks and candy and instructions to help ourselves. The rooms were beautifully decorated. The house itself is quite beautiful but the grounds were a bit overgrown. Downtown Damascus with the only dining available is a mile away. Breakfast was served by the owner at 8:30 and was delicious. He was a charming man with lots of information about the house since it has been in his family for generations. Our only reservation about the Milsap-Baker estate is the fact that the rooms must share a bathroom. That might be a deal breaker for some.
