Recently, I had the pleasure of staying at a charming hotel in Monterey, California, and it was an experience worth sharing. Nestled in the heart of a bustling downtown area, the hotel's location was its first great asset. Surrounded by an array of bars, restaurants, attractions, and wine bars, it provided the perfect gateway to explore the vibrant local culture and cuisine. The convenience of having everything within walking distance was a huge bonus, especially for evening strolls and spontaneous dining decisions. The hotel itself boasted of a welcoming atmosphere. From the moment I checked in, the staff was friendly and helpful, eager to make my stay comfortable and enjoyable. The room I stayed in was a pleasant surprise - it was clean, well-maintained, and equipped with all the necessary amenities. The bed was comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep after a day of exploration. Price-wise, the hotel struck a perfect balance between affordability and quality. It was refreshing to find a place that didn’t compromise on standards for a reasonable rate. This aspect made the stay feel even more value-packed, especially considering the prime location and the level of comfort provided. One of the highlights of my stay was the proximity to the local wine bars. As a wine enthusiast, I appreciated the short walks back to the hotel after a delightful evening of wine tasting. This location is definitely a plus for anyone who enjoys exploring local wines and spirits.

We traveled in December and were able to book the room for 1 night at the lowest price I’ve ever paid for a hotel room. Hotel is dog-friendly so it fit our needs at no extra-cost. Location is great at the heart of Monterey— except for parking. You have to either park on the street or the city-owned garage with a parking fee. The room is on the smaller size but it was fine as we were only staying 1 night. You can hear some cars passing by but with ambient sleep sounds or music, you’ll be fine. Our dog enjoyed looking out the window and she slept soundly on the bed with us. Our room came with a fireplace. They offer “breakfast on the go” consisting of coffee, tea, granola bars and snacks. We were able to use the private spa / jacuzzi before checking out— you have to get the key from the front desk. The small gym featured 3 newer looking equipment with weights.

Stayed for the cheapest rates near downtown. Great location, great staff and room was a little cramped but otherwise good overall. Had a grab and go breakfast for free which was better than nothing.

I did not have a car, so parking was not an issue for me. Very clean. Staff was super nice. Walking distance to accessible transit. Walkable to many things.

I just love this hotel, we have stood here before and the location is smack dab in the middle of everything so can walk.
