The place carries a royal heritage of architecture and collection of paintings and other articles. Good food & staff in general. However we expected some basic things to be better : - the hotel changed our room category without any notification or consent. Although they say the room allotted were of “higher” category, but did not look so. We had booked cottage rooms but allocated standard rooms. - rooms looked as though they were not used since some time. Bathrooms ought to be better maintained. Bath curtain absent in one room, while it had lot of fungus stains in the other room. Toilet sprays were leaky. No place to hang clothes in bathroom. Fan was quite noisy and regulator was difficult to operate. - elevator was of old type (collapsible shutter - which is not safe) and it seemed to be not well maintained as it was stuck on a floor at one point, and we stopped using it although we had to climb two floors every time. Lot of elevator noise interference in our room, especially early morning. - most part of the open lawn area was rented out to a marriage party making it inaccessible to guests. When we asked the reception lady at checkin time, she said they only had a photo shoot that day, which was over, and there was no more wedding in the campus. But that was not true. — also one issue face from Agoda : the room category and price showed breakfast + lunch/dinner as inclusions, but later receipt was provided only with breakfast, and the hotel also gave us the same plan. Upon contacting Agoda customer care they blatantly asked for a screen shot of booking time (!!?) only then they would help. Well, in that case why does not Agoda show me a screen shot of that past day as per their claim!!? This is either an issue in their system or some sort of wrong practice. Otherwise Nilambag Palace is a good heritage property at a good location.

Vast expanse , garden and trees, cottage stay is like staying in bungalow, big room and toilet. At night entry to the place is not properly lighted.

1. Disinterested front office - Smile is missing, no proactive info like WiFi details. 2. Amenities in the room needs make over … ie. TV is antique 3. Bed ( Mattress) antique . 4. Fan & A/c makes super noise 5. Bathroom toiletries antique

The staff was good and accepts every order for ur comfort, rooms was nice clean

It was a great experience .It was well maintained and the staff was polite and friendly.Definitely a great place to stay.
