“Ok, so this was our first trip to Gatlinburg, where we were staying for an extended time. So, I researched and looked at what seemed like a million different hotels and resorts. I settled on River Terrace because of the pricing I found through a third-party booking site and the location in Gatlinburg. We were not disappointed in its location. The resort itself sits just across the stream to the main strip of the tourist part of Gatlinburg. There are several buildings for River Terrace Resort. We were within walking distance to pretty much everything we wanted to go to on our trip. Which was great, because if you have ever driven down there, it can be a nightmare. The rooms themselves are nothing special. The one we had was very conveniently located in the main building so we could be at the main strip in a matter of minutes after leaving our room. The room was clean and very comfortable. I apologize. The pictures I took were on the day we were leaving, so the bed is not freshly made. There is no daily housekeeping, so you need to contact the front desk if you need anything. Everyone at the front desk was super helpful and friendly every interaction I had with them. I would definitely stay here again because of the location to everything. If you're lucky, you might catch a glimpse if the blue heron that must live nearby, we saw him almost every day!”

“When you book a budget hotel, it's understandable and acceptable what comes with it. Out of date decor, lack of certain ammineties, both are fine compromises in order to save on dollars. But cleanliness so never be a compromise. This place was disgusting. There isn't a way to post pictures on here of the bathroom to show how bad it was. I had to find a store and purchase cleaning supplies. And when I ask the the front desk for gloves and said I needed them to clean the room, she wasn't surprised. I could not switch hotels because one, no refunds, and second , was a weekend and hotels were booked. The ones that were available were well over $400 a night. It's such a shame, because of the potential this place has. And it passes me off frankly because If I was affored the opportunity to own part of the franchise I would take pride in it. Wyndham should appalled to have their name on this place. I will be filing a complaint with them and also the BBB, and yes I will be requesting a refund as I had to clean the room along with my sister's room that was traveling with me. Yes, both rooms were disgusting. ”

“This specific hotel was on the main strip in Gatlinburg TN and for the price it was perfect. The room was clean, a bit warm but it was fine. I would have liked to have seen vending machines and an ice machine. Also I feel the carpet was in need of updating and the elevator needs a major deep clean or an update. We did not use either pool but I did notice the hot tub was out of service. Also the “free” breakfast left much to be desired. Overall the stay was fine. I would recommend maybe using a heavier comforter on the beds and leaving as an option the thinner one.”

“I stayed for one night and have a mixed review. The room and the lobby were clean. The front desk clerk was phenomenal. There was a water bottle on one of the beds when I walked in. My TV did not work. The chain lock for the door was only attached to the door and not the wall so it was useless. I would stay there again because the location and proximity to downtown were fantastic.”

“It was just my youngest son and I and we loved it. Staff was so amazing and the valet was super nice. Highly highly recommend!!”

“I'm sure all of the basic rooms look like they do online, but we booked a king suite and were told that they all look differently. The one that we were put in did not look anything like the one in the picture. I wouldn't have paid the extra money if I had known that. Not worth it. They did give us a slightly better room but said "the one in the picture is already booked".”

“Reliable hotel. Clean, comfortable beds, kind staff. Could use some TLC, especially in bathroom, but good value and location for price.”
