“Lovely hotel with charming decor, good breakfast, beautiful ground and pool outside, Barons Creek was running while I was there. Easy walk to Main Street.”

“Great location close to the main strip in Fredericksburg. Staff was helpful and friendly, rooms were clean and spacious. The breakfast area is small and gets crowded easily in the mornings, but still a great place to stay when spending some time in Fredericksburg. Would definitely stay again!”

“I loved how quaint this little motel is. It reminded me of traveling with my parents in the 1950s and 1960s. The staff was quite friendly and the room was clean. The only drawback was the toiletries that were provided. We had two women staying for three nights, and were given one set of shampoo and conditioner, and only one silver dollar sized sliver of soap. Also, we were provided with enough coffee to make 8 cups but only enough creamer and sugar for two. When the cleanup staff came by the next morning, I told her that we needed more soap, coffee, and lots of creamer and sugar. She was most gracious, and provided that for us along with two bars of soap that could be used in the shower. Since the room rate is close to $200 per night during the week, the owners should provide adequate toiletries, coffee and coffee supplies.”

“Unless one requests a non-pet room, one will be arbitrarily assigned a pet room with no change allowed, regardless of allergies. The pet dander odor was noticeable on walking into the room at mid-afternoon check-in, but because of high demand during school spring break, a room change was not allowed. The first night, dogs barked until late at night and again early in the morning. I was told it was my fault because I should have known to request a non-pet room as the website says pet friendly. Lousy customer treatment, uncomfortable bed. Breakfast for lactose intolerant vegetarians consisted of oatmeal packets, no non-dairy alternative.”
