“I came here for a couple of days and have been here for almost 2 weeks it's clean the people are nice I can't believe I found a good hotel”

“Sonesta ,especially the reception needs improvement in hospitality. Although I understand that culture plays an important factor in this case, I firmly believe that a SMILE that is given warmly is a universal gesture of hospitality which i think the reception staff falls short. In our 4 nights stay, not even once our room was cleaned even if we have repeatedly ask the housekeeping and the lobby reception to have it done. The only consolation we got was the waiving of the resort fee after I talked to the lobby reception on our last day and ask her to take note that our room was never made up during our stay. I didn’t get the perception of her being apologetic , maybe she thinks the waiving of the resort fee was enough.”

“We have had the best week staying at the Bahia Mar. The hospitality was top notch. We felt welcomed everywhere we went. We were traveling with twin four months old and the staff went above and beyond to help and make things easier for us. The location is perfect for walking. There’s tons of restaurants and bars nearby within walking distance. Coconuts is a great restaurant/bar close to the hotel that offered delicious dinners and drinks. The beach was a quick walk across the street and lounge chairs and towels were included with the resort. It was only $30 to rent an umbrella for the day. The pool was perfect, plenty of shady options, great music with Dj’s playing almost every day and an indoor area with seating, ping pong, and a pool table. We have traveled quite bit (never with small babies) and we were thoroughly impressed with the hospitality we received at Bahia Mar. We will definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family. ”

“The hotel was so busy , but a professional and polite front desk, featuring 'Jasmina.'is awesome . The bellman provided exceptional service. However, the room is quite small, feels like im in the closet of a conjoined room, lacks a luggage rack, and doesn't match the advertised river view ( no such thing River view) making it less satisfactory for the $900 something spent.”
