“We stayed in a suite with one pull-out sofa bed in the living room. Unfortunately, the heater in the living room malfunctioned, emitting a strong burning smell that triggered the fire alarm. 1. We called the front desk, but no one answered, so we had to go down to find the staff member. 2. When we spoke to her, it seemed she was already aware of the heater issue, as her response was simply that she couldn’t help. 3. She refused to call maintenance as she said there was no one on duty, 4. she said there was no supervisor she can called but asked us come back later when supervisor on duty. 5. She wanted us to get extra blankets and sleep in the room despite the smell, telling us not to turn on the heater. This was extremely unprofessional, and I could hardly believe this was happening at a Holiday Inn Express (IHG). However, finally, at 11 p.m., we were able to find the manager on duty. She immediately addressed the problem and offered to move two of our guests to another room, which was a much more appropriate solution. While the situation was handled late, we were relieved that the manager took charge and provided the help we needed.”

“Location to Old Town is the best thing by about this place. It’s a typical budget hotel, good enough for a 1 or 2 nights stay. Staff was friendly enough. Breakfast better than I expected but don’t expect anything fancy. Room is decent. Fridge, microwave, tv, a/c & heat. Shower ok. Bed acceptable (although the pillows are too big). Only negative thing I’d say are the floors - didn’t feel clean enough to walk around barefoot or even with socks. Oh and a really good Mexican restaurant a 3 min walk away!”

“This location is our favorite. The facility is well furnished, beautiful and comfortable. The bed proved to be a welcomed surprise of comfort as were the pillows, which are usually less than pleasant. The snack shop has a good variety and was well stocked. The outdoor patio area was beautiful and the breakfast buffet was delicious. We use the ABQ airport a couple times of year, staying over at least one night each time, and we are planning to make this Hilton GI location our go-to spot.”
