“Just spent a night at this pleasant establishment with fantastic views. Staff very friendly & went out of their way to help John celebrate his birthday 🎂. We had a vast room with lovely views & a balcony with "old" arm chairs & a very "old" broken wooden coffee table which had seen better days but no outside light. The lighting in the room was very poor due to dark wood & a number of lights not working; no TV in room or anywhere in the hotel (not that it bothered us). No hairdryer supplied, but there was a kettle with tea bags, coffee & coffee mate & a fridge with 2 comp bottles of water. There was a large working open fire which hadn't been cleaned out in months. There was a king size & single bed but the cover was only suitable for a double bed so we took the cover off the single bed to yse as a sheet. Air con was included in the price. There were 2 sets of patio doors, one had a sliding mosquito screen. The floor tiles in the bathroom & bedroom were very slippery. Towels were of a poor quality, also the floor mat was badly stained. Toiletries were supplied. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. This adult only hotel isn't at all suitable for the elderly or infirm as there are steps everywhere with rickety handrails, slippery surfaces. Our evening meal was tasty and not too badly priced. A good selection of wines & alcohol. The decor was mainly reclaimed furniture with elaborate light fittings. There were plenty of sun beds around the very chilly infinity pool with a bar nearby and beautiful views. There is access to the sea but due to the many steps leading down to the sun bathing platform I was unable to access it. This establishment is built on the side of a hill, hence the many steep steps. Even though it is in need of a great deal of TLC, I would return here. In its hey day I'm sure this was a superb hotel. Free WiFi.
