“The skywalk is the obvious draw and gimmick of the hotel. We stayed one night in a deluxe room with mountain view but there was also a view towards the bay and islets. These rooms have separate toilet and shower cubicles and a sink in the bedroom which might not suit every traveller. Bed mattress and duvet was perfect. Restaurant dinner and buffet breakfast were a good standard. The propoerty is built on a very steep hillside and hotel pick up service might be necessary to get to/from you room and the restaurant/bar/pool areas. I think the design of the hotel would result in guests getting wet when it rains as you cannot avoid going out in the open to get from your room to anywhere in the hotel.”

“Close to Michllen star restaurants , APA-Tree is only 4 yrs old, modern and clean. Thankfully, Agoda advertised last room for low price so I could get out of noisy Phuket. I took the 50 baht bus to get within 7km and Hello Natio taxi too me back to airport. The peaceful countryside and APA's comfortable beds were muchly needed. I'm committed to supporting Thai family businesses and they reciprocated with sincerity and kindness for my 2 nights. I didn't mind the 2k walk down a garden road to an incredibly beautiful swimable beach that comes alive with vendors and fisherman at dusk. Once the newly built coffee shop is up and running and they get safes in the rooms, the APA will be stiff competition with its reasonable prices and beautiful views from the 4th floor.”

“This is a huge hotel that hosts party functions for local folk. Monday night and there is a party going on. Told it would end at midnight. Not. Very very loud. People running up and down corridors shouting loudly all night long. No sleep. Coldest reception I’ve had in travelling Thailand. Big production about trying to find my reservation. Place is bizarre: Elephants, suits of armor, dark wood panelling, sweeping staircase. Walls are paper thin. Limited places to eat. Need a car and even then. Price is right. Might be ok if you can confirm no party is scheduled to be held the night of your stay. Otherwise stay away. ”
