“El hospedaje es muy lindo, la recamara amplia y muy limpia, camas cómodas, una casa hermosa en medio de las montañas, las vistas son espectaculares, la cena y el desayuno muy rico, es un lugar tranquilo para descansar, pero si vas sin auto tienes que considerar usar servicio de taxi para ir al centro de Victoria o moverte a cualquier otro lado, el lugar es imposible para subir caminando. Terence, quien nos recibió a nuestra llegada, nos apoyó mucho con el transporte, siempre muy amable, por un precio muy accesible nos recogía y nos trasladaba a los lugares de nuestro interés, estuvimos muy agradecidos, por su excelente trato, gracias a él pudimos disfrutar mucho de nuestra estancia en este lugar, sin preocuparnos por el transporte. “This place is just lovely but has seen better days … Firstly, it is probably the prettiest place on Beau Vallon beach. People walking by stop to take photos. The decor is very smart, stylish, chic but has seen better days. Our bedroom (No1) was delightful. Very spacious and with sea views from the balcony. The bathroom was well equipped but the toiletries provided were rather cheap. The double bed with four poster arrangement had a rather hard mattress which could be improved with a mattress topper. The air conditioning unit was, like everything else, a little tired but worked ok. Our sheets and towels were kept clean and folded. Overall cleanliness of our room was only 3/4 out of 10 but that may be to do with shortage of staff. Cleanliness in the hotel in general was also not good but, in the final analysis, did not affect our overall enjoyment of the place. The honesty bar is expensive as is the set meal provided. We ate here twice and particularly enjoyed the first time, not so much the second. Breakfast is rather basic but plentiful and you are obliged to make your own suggestions to have something different to eat if staying for any length of time. Most people seemed to stay no more than 2/3 days. The external areas are kept tidy and the swimming pool is kept clean. Access to the beach via a gate at the bottom of the garden is rather special. Staff, including security staff, and management were willing to help, if asked and were especially charming. Overall, and by Seychelles standards, the Chateau is well worth while for the price charged. They just need to replace curtains and some furniture, for example, and sharpen up their housekeeping practices.”
