“We stayed at Oasis Villas for 9 nights and had a very enjoyable time and would definitely recommend this villa as a great place to stay. Positives: - Beautiful villas with all the facilities you need in a traditional island style. - Completely private pool. - Excellent staff who are very friendly. - Security staff constantly manning the entrance gates. - Ample parking. - Close to Grand Baie Public Beach, Pereybere Beach, La Croisette Shopping Centre, Grand Baie Shopping Area. Negatives: - As Mauritius is a tropical island, bugs and lizards are expected. The villa has air conditioning but unfortunately in our particular villa, there was a gap between the door frame that opened to the decking by the pool from the bedroom on one side and this allowed lizards to get in despite keeping all other doors closed. Traveller Tips: - I would recommend a hire car. While the supermarket, restaurant and some shops are a walkable distance, there are almost no footpaths making this a risky option, espcially at night. Driving is easy in Mauritius and parking is plentiful and usually free. - La Croisette and the Shopping Mall around the Super U have a lot of restaurant/take away options for eateries local to Oasis Villas. Suggestions to Oasis: - Investigate and close door frame gap to reduce insect/lizard intrusion. - Consider resuming shuttle services to beaches/the shopping centre to further enhance the experience for tourists.
