“This is my second year to visit CocoPalm and they never disappoint! The staff were accommodating even before we arrived allowing us an earlier check in and sending great email communication. On arrival multiple staff remembered us from a year ago and were so warm and welcoming- making us feel we had arrived home! As we checked in early we were offered breakfast too! The breakfasts are an amazing spread of cooked foods like plaintains,seasoned potatoes, seasoned beans and bacon. They are also baked goods and breads with a toaster machine as well as a variation of fried / roasted bakes (a local specialty) French toast or pancakes and boiled eggs. The ‘icing on the cake’ are the freshly cooked to order omelettes whilst you wait! Though the cooks were gracious enough to vary with scrambled or fried if you so pleased! The pool is a complete bonus if you have children and they also have a gym - which you have 24hr access to, although the equipment is not very well kept and could really do with an update. Still I managed a basic workout for a few days! The bonus is the beach is but a 5minute walk away! No need to be right on the beach when you can get your steps in with a little stroll! This is also situated at the end of the beach when mostly local people attend so most of the time it is not too busy- a small piece of heaven minus tons of other tourists. The room is very spacious and we were given a king bed to share: huge! We had a pool facing room on the first floor which also has a fridge- necessary if you like tour water kept cold. Our room was cleaned daily although you can opt out if you prefer this not to happen. Our cleaner had amazing attention to detail and left everything that was ours untouched- clean towels everyday is necessary as there is nowhere significant to hang them to dry (perhaps they could consider having a small rack that could at least hand swimwear…) Downside to poolside view room is on nights where there is entertainment the sound is ridiculously loud- but we were always so tired it did not bother us (or I used ear plugs!) This is mostly only on a Friday night to be fair. Booking excursions at the concierge desk is very handy if you want it all done for you although they were happy to accommodate me seeking the best price, comparing what they offer to what I found online; booking zip lining with transport was far cheaper through the cocoPalm deal so I went with that. Everyone from guests to staff were very lovely and we made friends with many so my daughter (11yrs) was happy to have play mates. Overall, another amazing week long stay at cocoPalm; an definitely considering coming again next year!”

“It would appear that this hotel has not kept up maintenance. Whether or not this is related to the pandemic is unclear but I will assume that it is. THE STAFF: Excellent! The staff are all very pleasant, respectful and ready to please. FOOD: There are 5 restaurants but not all were open. The restaurant food quality was quite good 4/5. The buffet food was good with lots of choice. There was a convenient food truck in the pool area that made great hamburgers, fries and buffalo chicken wings but they usually ran out of some items within 2 hours of opening. It was very convenient to people who liked to hang out bu the pool all day. BEACH: so-so. Not the greatest beach in St.Lucia. It was very windy during my stay so it was too rough to swim. Sandy beach with some rocky outcroppings. Can’t comment on the snorkeling. LOCATION: Handy 10 minute drive to Rodney Bay shopping area and only 25 minutes to the Castries airport. Most flights come into Hewanorra Airport in the south which is 1.5-2 hour drive over the mountains. Beautiful scenic drive but terrible for anyone who gets car sick ROOMS: well appointed rooms, comfortable beds, heavy doors that keep the noise out, spacious showers, double sinks, whirlpool tub, safe, overhead fans, balcony overlooking the central area. Problems: heavy doors slam very loudly (not good in the morning). They should install some kind of sound dampening system. We had mould in our air conditioner that smelled so musty we felt it was a health hazard and had to change rooms. We were moved 3 doors down and it turned out to have the same issue. Staff did deal with it promptly and brought in someone to clean it but in my opinion, it should not have gotten so bad to start with. The cleaning staff should have noticed the bad smell. It was so bad, you could smell it outside the door!! Some evidence of neglected maintenance such as door trim falling off, handrail in elevator falling off, curtains detached from ho”

“Just an all inclusive hotel with extremely poor customer service, neglected bedrooms (at least the one we were given was: Jacuzzi in a terrible condition, stains on the sofabed, bed and bedshits, overused bath towels, broken shower button, the list is pretty long... Something you will never find in an authentic luxury hotel. Front desk is clearly not trained. The only positive is the kindness of the F&B staff who work extremely hard (their working hours are also very questionable!). If you are only after 24hours food and cheap beverages then this is the place for you. Otherwise, there are real luxury hotels across the island.”
