“We stayed in the hotel for just one night and it served our needs extremely well. We had an early reservation in a nearby restaurant which we could walk to and from which was super. We had a couple of drinks in the bar when we got back which was nice and quiet. We did not have breakfast in the hotel as we were going to meet friends in Tramore for same. All in all a successful trip and hotel was perfect. Our only criticism was the car park which was full, not affording us a place to park. We did however get street part right opposite.”

“Basic budget accommodation, nice welcome, staff helpful & friendly, beds comfortable, as known with travelodge just for place to sleep, tried the Shake Dog outside it for breakfast/brunch served up to 12o'clock €8.95 for the mini breakfast with toast and tea/coffee good price. There was pancakes, french toast, bacon, eggs on menu too. Good location for Waterford city, but even better if you have a car, if you intend on going to Tramore Beach, Activate Waterford (nice playground outside this and green area to kick a ball) Splashworld, etc. Could be good spot if going to cycle the Greenway too. ”

“If you are looking for honest value for money Treacy's is a sound choice. OK everything is not the best but then you are not wanting to pay for the best. The buffet breakfast is only €10 and is as good as any. All the staff are friendly and helpful. My room was a little chilly, I made one mention to the receptionist in the morning and when I returned it was snug and cosy. Yes traffic stops at the lights outside so until late in the evening front facing rooms can be noisy. I had a room on the first floor at the front adjacent to the lights. A €1 set of earplugs gave me a good nights sleep. If you are an experienced traveller and self reliant book here, if you are looking to be cosseted go elsewhere and pay the extra.”
