“This is my fourth visit, but as I stayed for longer this trip, I experienced a mixed bag of service compared to previously when I stayed for just one or two nights, and thought the service was acceptable First off, I was given an accessible room by the receptionist, call Safya (not too sure if that is correct). I was not so comfortable with the height of the sink etc and went back to request for a room change. I was made to feel like I was in the wrong for requesting a room change. Next, if there was a suitable deluxe room available, I do not understand why I was given an accesssible room instead. I next encountered Safya during my check out when I asked to store my bag. Again with the sullen look, at which I asked for her name. On my return to collect my bag, her attitude totally changed to be more attentive. Not too sure what to make of this, but maybe she just needed a reminder that she is in the service line. Next up with be my awesome interaction with Bindu and her supervising leader, who were very helpful and warm. This is the Maldron service I was accustomed to during my previous travel. Like I mentioned previously, I stayed longer this trip. So I skipped housekeeping on alternate days, so as to be sustainable. To my horror, on the day I wanted housekeeping, my room was made. As I had ran out of toilet paper and needed fresh towels, I approached a lady at front desk at 3+ pm. This lady very calmly told me housekeeping doesn’t occur every day and as that day was a busy day, my room wouldn’t be cleaned. I never knew that was a thing. Her attitude was so blasé about the whole thing. I requested for new rolls and towels even if my room wouldn’t be cleaned. The housekeeping team that came over was so nice and such a contrast from the lady at front desk. Matter of fact, they were prepared to clean my room. I just needed new supplies so I thanked them and spared them the cleaning. I appreciated their willingness though. In all, differing service standard that the hotel should look into. Especially from customer facing jobs”

“I was originally planning to give this hotel a 5-star rating. The environment was pleasant, the room felt cozy despite the lack of soundproofing, and most of the male staff were very kind and welcoming. However, on the second morning of my stay, I had an unpleasant encounter with a female staff member. I had clearly booked three consecutive nights, but she knocked on my door very forcefully and rudely, asking me to check out. I was confused and asked, “Now? Are you sure?” She insisted with a firm “Yes.” I told her I had booked for three nights, and only then did she leave — without any apology or explanation. There was no follow-up from the hotel either. Being disturbed like that on a peaceful holiday morning, especially with no apology, was very disappointing. I hope the hotel can improve their internal communication and guest service in the future.”
