“Receptionist welcoming. Room clean but a little unkept eg no back on remote for TV -flat batteries.Parts of the outside of the hotel very scruffy.Breakfast excellent. Bar was like a zoo awash with people only place to try to get a bar meal and restaurant closed- as it’s not near anywhere else gave up on dinner that night..Pool facilities good although changing rooms could do with some TLC. Overall good value but just a bit too compromised”

“This is a fantastic hotel - but it should be for the price! Staff and customer service impeccable. Breakfast was wonderful. Suggested improvements- upgrade the internet. We were in the top room and had no WiFi. Put coffee makers in the room - no where to make early morning coffee. Menu could be more varied for those not having the tasting menu at night. ”

“Lovely old hotel, "Manuel" on the front desk hardly spoke any words when checking in. Unfortunately we had noise in our room.. when we asked front desk about it he said "Oh yes you're in room 5, it's the extractor fan from the kitchen underneath" and will switch off at 9:30pm! Overall price considered a good place to stay for 1-2 nights.”

“Very clean, well kept property. Rated 5/5 for value for money not that it is cheap on an absolute sense but on a relative sense. Free parking, and property while not in the middle of the town is still easy to locate with especially travelling with a car Only downside for some might be the tight window for check in 4-8pm”

“Exceptionally happy with the cleanliness and the facilities in the room. Stayed with my family (with 2 children aged 5 and 7 years) and they enjoyed a lot. The bunk beds were a new experience for them. The surrounding was marvellous. A perfect spot to start a hike up the mountain and the surrounding beauty was simply breath taking. Very small drive to the starting point of gondola ride up the nevis mountains. Friendly staff in the inn. Despite we arrived quite late into night, the checkin was very quick. Simply loved the place. ”

“Good communication with owner re keysafe entry, no interaction with staff at all. Indicated as B&B but this was a 'porridge pot' & coffee making products. Room was comfortable enough but accommodation is on busy A82 route which may prove troublesome for light sleepers”
