“Room on lower floor smells of animals so we asked to be moved. Basic room with terrible mattress, curtains hanging off”

“On arrival in room was like a sauna, set to 32 degrees. Windows open sorted that. Hair on towel, what looked like blood on bathroom floor, cleaned off with water and tissue so clearly hadn't been mopped. Spa bath would have been great if water wasn't going cold straight away tried to use it on arrival and in morning of departure. Had to have a cold shower in the end. :( Told reception when they asked about our stay and they said some rooms been experiencing super hot water and some really cold so she wasn't sure what was going on. Bit disappointing especially celebrating my 40th birthday. We were on top floor so lots of flights of stairs. May have been a lift but didn't see one. Great location, but not for us ”
