“The hotel is close to the highway and some eateries and about 5 miles to Halifax by car. The rooms were very spacious and clean. There is also 24 hour tea and coffee in the foyer. Spoke to a lovely Jamaican lady on reception who I must admit was exceptional and made our stay so much better, that we booked an additional night at this hotel. The lady who was serving breakfast however, was rude and arrogant. The cleaning staff we spoke to spoke very little English. Apart from the staff, the hotel was perfect”

“I am not sure why they would rate this a 4 star property as it is definitely not. It is worn and outdated, both the rooms and the hotel itself. The breakfast was a nice treat though. Also, there was a hazmat incident during my stay, the chlorine pipe burst, and everyone was evacuated outside for 5 hours as the fire department and the hazmat team worked to maintain the situation. I could not get back into my room to collect myself and my belongings in order to make my flight. A fire fighter had to go into my room, collect my things and bring them outside, where I had to change clothes and get everything together in cold weather. The hotel staff, did not apologize or provide any sort of credit or refund at all for this situation as it was rather life threatening and cumbersome. I thought that I would get some sort of an apology email or a credit with my final bill, however none were provided. ”
