Upon arriving (2 hours after the regular check-in time), I was told the only room with a king size bed (which I had paid $165 for, with a gerberons $4 off from Agoda!) was a smoking room (which I don’t even think is legal anymore in California) and it had to be cleaned. You will be profusely reprimanded for making an online booking, and asked for a $100 security cash deposit (if you ask for a receipt, it will be declined). Upon staying there, you will wonder WHY on earth they’d even ask for a security deposit. You’ll either have a good laugh or a good cry — or both. I then waited and watched the co-owner clean 2 other rooms before mine, then proceed to “spruce up” mine in 10 minutes chrono (without changing neither sheets nor towels). If Agoda allows it, I will post the pictures I took and let them speak for themselves. Calling this decrepit monstrosity a motel is being overly generous. Calling it a dump is merciful as well. I have no idea why the city hasn’t closed it down — it is gross, disgusting, vile. I couldn’t even bring myself to shower there. CONS: holes in walls, ripped chairs, mold, dust, grout, long black hair strands strewn about, smoke smell, strange black droppings everywhere on the floor and on the bed (I chose to ignore them as to not be scarred for life), makeup on pillow, blood stains on towels… PROS: The TV works I asked Agoda for a refund (which I will never get). I cannot believe they let themselves be associated with this Halloween horror house). One may wonder why I didn’t leave on the spot. Good question. I was sick with a high fever and all I wanted to do was sleep (which I did fully clothed). If you are on a budget, even if you have zero dollar, stay away. This place should not be in business. It’s the all-hell motel.
