Hotel Tokimeki Kizoku Taishikan Inuyama (Adult Only)

We were a group of 4 adult travelers, looking for rooms near the Inuyama Festival. It being festival time, everything nearby was sold out, so we grabbed 4 rooms at a local love hotel. Set up for clandestine romantic encounters, private entrances and passages to ensure your anonymity greeted us, along with some very friendly staff that were amused by us. Once you're checked into your room, you're locked into your room for the night. (Presumably to prevent amorous nighttime wanderings.) While none of us were interested in the adult...ahem... amenities, the giant bathtub for two suited me just fine for a solo soak. The more than king sized bed was a welcome oddity in Japan. The room featured a slightly "English Manor" vibe, presumably to aid in some role play for amorous couples. The highlight of the night came the next morning, when a local middle aged woman walked by as we emerged on foot from the hotel together, hiking packs on, and asked curiously where we were going, clearly assuming that we had had some fun together at the love hotel. After a laughter filled explanations that we were not, in fact an "ecchi" 4some, and we were there for the festival, guffaw ensuedall around.
