Hotel Royal Retreat

We stayed at Royal Retreat during our recent trip to Shirdi and had a very pleasant experience overall. The location is excellent — just a short walk from Gate Number 6 of the Sai Baba temple, which made our visit extremely convenient. The rooms are clean, fairly spacious, and tastefully done with new furnishings. Since the property is quite new (only about 4 months old), everything still feels fresh and well-maintained. The staff was polite, courteous, and very helpful — they assisted us with printing our temple gate pass and even allowed us to use a room after checkout to freshen up and change, which was a thoughtful gesture. A couple of things to keep in mind: there was a bit of a mosquito issue during our stay. Providing mosquito repellent in every room would definitely help. Also, their in-house restaurant is still under construction, so food isn’t available on-site yet. The lobby is open-air for now, but once it’s enclosed, the overall experience will feel even more complete. There was some initial confusion about the presence of a lift — to clarify, yes, they do have one. In summary, this is a great option for families and pilgrims seeking a comfortable, peaceful stay very close to the temple. With a few improvements, it has all the makings of a 5-star experience.
