We paid a lot of money to stay at Meridien so we would have a comfortable stay but unfortunately we were unsatisfied with the end result we stayed a maximum of maybe 7 days and in those 7 days we did not get even 1 night of good rest. The hotel has ongoing renovations - the problem was they would commence at night till the morning. We would tell the staff about this and they would apologise and do nothing about it. It would stop for a short while. We also spoke to higher up and they didn’t really care. They would apologise to save grace but it was sincere. A whole week went by and we just felt frustrated and annoyed. It’s a lovely hotel with great facilities and actually staff are very kind but the fact that no one took us seriously and laughed at when we expressed our concerns is not on. I do not think we would return to this hotel or recommend this hotel they really let us down. They just carried on their renovation despite our inconvenience. They could do it all day till the evening but persisted to do in the end. On the other hand food is good and staff is good. Reception and front desk,bell boys and door man and security all very friendly and go out of their way. It’s a shame they couldn’t keep a good standard. All in all I don’t think it was value for money - totally avoid!! They are making rooms at the expense of their current guest. They boys who clean rooms are great and friendly but I don’t think the cleanliness is there got dirty towels a few time disgusting
