Royal Inn Motel-Charlottesville

I arrived to check in at this hotel in the evening as a solo female traveler. When I pulled around back, a car pulled in just after me and sat across from me. It looked skeptical the gentleman inside the car and he kept at me and I didn’t feel comfortable exiting my car because it was desolate in the back parking lot. After 15 minutes, I drove around front and tried to discuss with the property manager the situation and asked simply if I could be put on a room in the front of the building facing the main. With no disregard and an attitude, he shut me down and said no I have no control over what goes on back there. He got a bit nasty with me threw my money back at me and I was left late at night scrambling to find another place.
