Poseidon hotel

We stayed for one night before the ha long bay cruise. Was very cheap for a one night stay and room and bathroom was great for the price. Bed was hard but that’s common in Asia. Staff were so lovely was her son’s birthday when we checked in they had a party. The lady gave us a generous slice of cake and some fruit was lovely. Only thing was when we was checking out there was a power cut and we was on the 4th floor, so had to walk down 4 flights of stairs with luggage which were so messy and had rubbish everywhere. One stair case had bags all over it which we couldn’t even get past so had to move it all. Apart from that I would recommend for budget travel.

Amazing value for money. My friend and I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Poseidon Hotel Halong Bay! The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, always going above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The beds were so comfortable—we slept like a dream every night. Waking up to the stunning views of Halong Bay from our room was the perfect way to start each day. We highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable experience!

DO NOT STAY HERE — THE WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE If I could give negative stars, I would. The Poseidon Hotel in Halong is an absolute disgrace — a pathetic excuse for a hotel run by two shameless liars. Let me be clear: these people will scam you the first chance they get. The man snapped the kickstand off our moped, then had the audacity to claim it was already broken. Total nonsense. He knew what he did and lied straight to our faces. But it gets worse. The owners — without knocking, without asking, without any permission — just barged into our room like it was theirs. Total invasion of privacy. When we confronted them, they first denied everything, then claimed they “always do that” to change the towels, refill the soap, and empty the bin. Guess what? When we came back, not a single thing had been done. Towels still dirty, no new soap, bin overflowing. So not only are they intruding on your space without consent — they’re lying straight to your face about why they do it. Disrespectful and disgusting. These people will screw you over however they can. They smile to your face and stab you in the back. It’s not Poseidon — it’s PooSeidon, and it’s a joke. A disgusting, dishonest, privacy-violating mess of a place. Avoid this hotel like the plague. Go literally anywhere else in Halong. Hell, sleep on the beach. Sleep on a boat. Sleep in a trash can. Just don’t stay here. Cheers

I've been traveling for 5 months in Vietnam and this hotel was the best! location, cleanliness and the warmth of the hostess. 5 Stars is too short! Thank youuuuu
