Gibran guest house

Gibran was wonderful. Room is spacious and by the sea with a nice hammock. Would have been a total 5 star if their food can be improved. Breakfast was too simple - cold cake and fruit for the first day, the 2nd day they added white bread with peanut butter jar available which was much better plus fried bananas, only for the 2nd day, and basically just that for the rest of my stay (4nights) Lunch was always rice, simple veggies, and eggs only, except just one day they added chicken for lunch. Dinner was the one that always good. Complete meal. Rice, veggies, chicken/fish, with one dish added, sometime fried tofu or sautéed tempe. Most importantly, no issues with rats, which is apparently the on going issue here at RA homestay. If you don’t care much about your food, this is the perfect place. The owner has his own boat for trips with reasonable price, his boat can fit more people in and has sun cover. Staffs were lovely and very helpful - it helped that I am local and can speak with them in our language. Also, they have cold drinks all day long 😘
