“Very nice”

“My husband and I stayed at The Ballast for a wedding and the location was perfect. We loved being able to walk to the ceremony and the surrounding restaurants, shops, bars, and farmers market. The hotel could definitely use a facelift as the corners of hallway walls are cracked and drywall falling apart, the caulking on our bathroom was peeling off and the towel hangers were falling off the walls. The bathroom door wouldn’t close unless we slammed it and the dresser was crooked and a drawer wouldn’t stay shut. We were also surprised that there was not a mini fridge in the room…. On a positive note, the room was large and comfortable, the staff was incredibly friendly, and we had dinner at the hotel restaurant and it was absolutely delicious! I would stay here again but I would bring a cooler bag and more hangers for the closet! ”

“Wonderful convenient hotel and location to visit Wilmington area. It provided everything you would desire from convenient location, great friendly staff, clean throughout. It was especially nice to come back after sunset cruise by Wrightsville Beach and go to the rooftop lounge to enjoy some quick bites and drinks. Great value for location…you can’t go wrong choosing Aloft. ”

“This is my go to place to stay. The hotel is clean, nicely located for quick access to many things, the staff is amazing and the breakfast is good. My last stay was the best because of Sam. She is AMAZING person. She was extremely helpful and flexible in helping me to adjust to my changing situation. Thank you Sam you are AMAZING!!!!!”
