“As soon as me and my partner pulled into the lot we saw that the rooms had window ac units and we had a bad feeling. On arrival we find out that parking is two blocks away and they have no elevator. Had to walk 3 flights of stairs with suitcases. I immediately asked the staff for a quiet room because I am a light sleep and they assured me it would be quiet. We walked to the highest floor. The decor was a cheap cover up for an outdated and not professionally renovated hotel. The rooms had towels in a wicker baskets where the old dirty ones had been kept- gross. Coming into the room we could tell that management put money into the wrong areas. The room was adjoining and had a 2 inch gap to the other room where we could hear the phone conversation the other suitor had. The door had no sound proof quality. The hotel itself was noisy. It felt ans if the person was in the room with us. I immediately went downstairs to tell them the problem and request a new room. They told me there were no other rooms and wouldn’t refund the money. Mgmt said they would’ve moved us if there was another room but it was completely booked. Which was odd bc she took a phone call in front of us while we were waiting that cancelled and she wouldn’t move us to the room. I asked if they had ear plugs or anything to help the situation.— they did not offer ear plugs and didn’t want to give money back for the room. We left and found a better hotel. Wish I had investigated this hotel closer. The hotel is not at all wheelchair/ disabled person friendly. I’m surprised this hotel passes fire inspections.”
