“Very clean , nice view , and very accommodating ”

“St George Island Inn is conveniently located near beach, restaurants and stores. You can walk to these easily. The inn itself is older and not in a charming way, looks in need of a good pressure wash outside to remove weather related stains and a coat of paint. Our room was basic and seemed like it was being worked on. The room was clean, but there were screws in the wall and lightbulb out, along with unpainted patched sheet rock in bath and black stains maybe from humidity in bathroom ceiling. It’s just old and worn out depending on which room you get. We were told the rooms are being redone but I wasn’t told that the room we were staying in wasn’t. You pay a lot to stay anywhere at the beach so you don’t expect the rooms to be in substandard condition. I’m not a snob by any means but seriously, this lack of attention to detail is everywhere in this place. Location is great, staff is excellent and very helpful . Facilities are just ok unless you get lucky and get a renovated room. Just FYI”
