“We stayed one night on Saturday May 25, 2024. Our group was definitely surprised that the Springhill Suites hotel property, front lobby/Bar & restaurant areas were nice and clean. Our hotel room was spacious with 2 queen beds, a sofa couch that converted to a bed that was hard and not comfortable, there was blanket, sheets and pillows for the sofa couch bed in the closet, a long desk and chair, TV, bathroom. Our view was the back parking lot. We didn't hear loud, blaring car music playing, people talking loud or yelling from our suite. It was nice and quite during our short stay. We checked out at 4:30am to catch the hotel shuttle service at 4:40am to Oakland airport. We parked and left our vehicle in the hotel parking lot Saturday night May 25 and picked it up Tuesday evening May 28, 2024. Our vehicle was fine, no new dents or scratches Their parking lot has security cameras, barricades and security personnel walking around the hotel grounds. It's the neighborhood (East Oakland) where the hotel is located that is not a safe area. So beware of your surrounding and stay alert and don't be flashing expensive jewelry, purses, clothes/shoes!!! Lock your car doors when you go inside to pay for your gas or buy snacks/groceries. DO NOT leave purse/luggage in view cause your windows will be smashed and your valuables gone!!!”

“I had a great overnight at the Kissel Uptown Oakland last weekend! The hotel is conveniently located - I took BART from Oakland airport and walked ~10 min from 19th St station. The rooms are really stylish, comfortable and spacious. The staff was very friendly, flexible and helpful. Highly recommend! ”

“Parking is off site.. Making sure I had access to my rental was just a simple call from my room . Or on the way back to let them know I was coming.. it was reassuring and comforting to know they were there considering I was a solo traveler.”

“Great hotel with big rooms enough to accommodate 5 in the family room. Good spread of breakfast options. The hotel’s location is strategic as it as a nearby walgreens and also very close to 12th St Bart station that could connect you to San Francisco. All in all, we had a pleasant at Residence Inn by Marriot at Oakland Downtown.”
