“This is a really cute hotel. The Otis elevator was installed in 1926 and was hand-operated until 2017. The whole place has a retro vibe that's very nice if you like that. Re negative reviews: carpets do need cleaning but not horrible; wall paint could use a refresh. Didn't use shower so can't comment. Adequate soaps, towels, etc. The bed was VERY comfortable with nice, very clean linens and great assortment of pillows. Stayed end of August and room temp was perfect and the AC made very little sound. Got room on somewhat last minute deal, great rate. Would not stay here full price but discounted it's great. Location is great, lots of shops/restaurants. There's a restaurant/bar in the hotel itself with a nice balcony. Didn't try but will next time. Thumbs up on this place, will return!”

“As a female traveling alone it’s important to me to feel safe, but I also don’t want to blow my whole travel budget on a hotel. This place is perfect and nestled in the mountains so everything around you is pretty and soothing. The staff were very nice!”

“Assigned a room by very polite front desk person. Carted all our belongings up to the room and sorted them out. Determined that one of the beds was covers in a sand like substance. At first we thought it may have come from our suitcase somehow but then realized the sand was even on the areas of the pillows. Had to move to another room. We were not offered any compensation for the inconvenience ”
