“We love staying at The Grove for the location and amenities. We usually self-park in the basement garage, which is very affordable and then walk everywhere for dining, shopping, etc. It's our go to spot in downtown Boise.”

“We were traveling over Memorial Day weekend and had a really exhausting drive to our destination for that day, Springhill Suites in Boise. We could tell that the hotel was full upon arrival at 10:00 pm--people enjoying the fire pits and pool--fun! We checked in--friendly staff. She told us that breakfast was being served the following day until 10:00 am. Because of our long day of travel the day before, we went down to breakfast at 9:35 am. Upon entry to the breakfast area, it was immediately obvious that breakfast was over--the food was in various stages of being put away or completely gone. We asked one of the employees who was putting stuff away if there was any more bread and he very rudely told us that "breakfast is over". There were obviously several other families in our same situation--arriving to breakfast with what we were told the night before was still 20+ minutes until it was over. Everyone grabbed what they could from what was still out, but, that wasn't much. They ended up putting up the barrier so no one could even get into the breakfast room after 9:45 am. I overheard another employee telling a guest that on weekdays breakfast is over at 9:00 am. That may be so, but, there was clearly miscommunication between the front desk staff and the breakfast staff regarding whether or not Monday (Memorial Day) was a 9:00 am or 10:00 am breakfast day. Up to that point we had a very nice stay at the hotel. The rooms are big and nicely appointed, the other staff was nice, but, the breakfast fiasco left a bad taste in our mouths, especially the rude breakfast employee. We then had to spend more money on breakfast somewhere else before we got back on the road. Very disappointing since one of the factors in choosing Springhill Suites was that breakfast was included. ”

“Clean room. Pool was nice and had a hot tub., except hot tub had sand in the bottom of it. We were really super happy with staff. I had a Bloody Mary with breakfast at 730am, but was irritated when I wanted to buy one alcoholic beverage at 930 to take to my room, and the guy restocking gave me grief and said I had to wait 30 minutes till 10am, even though I was already drinking at breakfast. Not sure why the maintenance guy cared to bark weird rules at me while being in a hotel for one 5% gluten free drink… cause the girl at the front desk didn’t care… kinda ruined my morning when I was on vacation. Other than that and the sand everything was great… and the hotel is nice b/c it’s a quick walk to the art district and the restaurant district…. With nice optional breakfast… nice breakfast spread ”
